Every year, you swear you're going to file your taxes early. And every year, you find yourself lined up at the Post Office in mid-April. Why not be one of the early-birds this year? It's March, and that means you should have all the tax forms you need to file your 2013 taxes. Here are some tips for getting it done now -- so you can relax when everyone's freaking out next month.

Find Yourself a Good Tax Preparer
You should probably schedule an appointment with a tax preparer now, unless you're planning to do it yourself. Here are some tips for picking the best tax professional for your needs.

What Can You Deduct?
The tax code is a sprawling mess of deductions. Maybe one day tax reform will simplify all that, but in the meantime, you may as well take advantage. Here are some of the deductions to keep in mind as you do your taxes.
